Hack the Change for LGBT Rights: Lexis Nexis+ AWS + Human Dignity Trust
LexisNexis UK is hosting a world first 48-hour Hackathon to materially progress LGBT human rights, at the Westminster Impact Hub, London. We’re launching it with Amazon Web Services, Freshfields, Hogan Lovells and Osborne Clarke. And all for one charitable aim: Help the Human Dignity Trust in their fight to defend LGBT human rights globally.
Together we can, for the first time, join together the tech and the legal worlds to make real change. The winners will see their ideas taken forward by the Human Dignity Trust; meaning you will have a real impact on the world. It is an authentic Hack. And we need you!
We are recruiting for coders, developers, designers, innovators, big data experts, machine learners, do-ers, maker-ers, think-ers to get involved.
You will be supported with AWS experts and we’re setting each team up with pretty much unlimited cloud credits for the duration of the event. There will legal experts and of course experts from the Human Dignity Trust on hand, too, throughout.
It is a free event with an open, inclusive, and supportive environment. It will be as old-skool-Hackathoneque as I can make it! There will be prizes, great food, great music, social drinks and inspirational speakers. You will be able to hang out with other awesome Hackers!
We are hosting it at the Impact Hub in Westminster which has 24/7 security and you are welcome to bring a sleeping bag and stay over. There are plenty of chillout areas and sleep areas; we even have showers and the whole event is catered throughout.
The Challenge will be annoucnced on Friday 11th: Come and get involed. Hack the Change you want to see in the world.
